This 1964 Capitol Records release (ST-2108) is an original US stereo first pressing of Something New. This specific unit is a Pitman Pressing, manufactured under contract by Columbia Records in Pitman, NJ (identified by the small "P" stamped in the runout matrices).
The record features the iconic "rainbow" colorband label and the "Capitol Full Dimensional Stereo" logo. As a Pitman-contracted first press, it carries the unique label typography and alignment characteristic of that facility. The jacket is the authentic 1964 version, featuring the credits for George Martin and Dave Dexter, Jr. This album remains the definitive source for the original 1964 US stereo mixes, including the German-language "Komm, Gib Mir Deine Hand."
